FAQS

We will create an individualized plan based on your goals, while keeping your budget in mind! We assess your muscle size and strength and will provide a recommended treatment that will work best for the results you desire including how many units we will be using. We can apply numbing cream or ice prior to injections if requested! Most individuals are surprised by the minimal discomfort of the injections, as the needles used are very tiny. The injections take about 15 minutes and you will be provided aftercare instructions at the end of your appointment.

04. What should I expect for my first treatment?

No! We charge the same dollar amount per unit for every brand.

03. It there a price difference between brands?

We use the brands Xeomin, Jeuveau, Botox, and Dysport!

02. What wrinkle relaxer brands does Liv Med Spa use?

For best results, injections should be considered every 3-4 months, but a lesser frequency will still provide preventative results. Depending on which wrinkle relaxer treatment you choose will depend on how frequently we treat.

01. How often should I get a wrinkle relaxer injection?

It depends on the areas treated, but you may use anywhere between 15-60 units. During your consultation, we will discuss how many units you will need for the best results before we begin.

06. How many units will I need?

You will not look different, but you will likely look more refreshed! We specialized in a natural looking result, avoiding a “frozen” or heavy appearance.

05. Will I look different after my injections?

WRINKLE RELAXER FAQS

There is no downtime with dermal fillers. Initial side effects include mild swelling or bruising, temporary numbness from the numbing cream, and mild redness. You should not plan strenuous exercise for 6-8 hours following your injection.

04. What else do I need to know?

You can expect results to last about 6 months to over a year.

03. How long do the results last?

15-60 minutes, depending on the areas treated.

02. How long does the treatment take?

We utilize hyaluronic acid dermal fillers that help diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face. This is a minimally invasive procedure that instantly restores lip volume and shape, improves shallow contours, softens facial creases, and lessens wrinkles.

01. What are dermal fillers?

Anyone over the age of 18 is a suitable candidate for dermal fillers!

05. Am I too young or too old for dermal fillers?

DERMAL FILLER FAQS

Obesity is a chronic medical condition, and most individuals require life-long therapy.
It is recommended that you continue a maintenance dose of the medication to maintain your weight loss.
Individuals can choose to taper down or off the medication after 3 months, but should implement lifestyle changes to avoid weight regain.

04. What happens after the 12-weeks are complete?

Results will be different for each person. You can safely expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week. Other factors such as diet and exercise will affect weight.
In clinical trials, participants on tirzepatide lost an average of 15-20% in body weight compared to placebo over a 72-week period.
In clinical trials, participants on semaglutide lost an average of 5-15% weight reduction over a 68-week period.
It is expected you will lose at least 5% of your body weight over a 12-week period.

03. How much weight am I expected to lose?

Both semaglutide and tirzepatide are once weekly subcutaneous injections. They can be given at home or administered in-clinic.
We will gradually increase your dosage each month based on how well you are tolerating the medication

02. How are the medications given?

Semaglutide: mimics a hormone found in your body called GLP-1. This peptide therapy stimulates insulin productions, sends signals to your brain telling you that you are full, and slows gastric emptying helping you feel fuller for longer.

Tirzepatide: the only dual glucose-dependent insulin tropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist.
It induces weight loss by mimicking two hormones that stimulate insulin secretion, slows stomach emptying after a meal to help you feel fuller longer, and also increases lipid metabolism (fat breakdown).

01. What are semaglutide and tirzepatide and how do they work?

We use a compounding pharmacy to prepare a generic form of the weight loss medications. It has the same active ingredient as the brand name medication.

06. Why is it cheaper to obtain the medication at Liv Med Spa than my pharmacy?

Possibly. You should check with your primary care provider or insurance company if you have type 2 diabetes and BMI >30 with health-related comorbidity (type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, osteoarthritis, hypertension) as it may be covered. It is ultimately your responsibility to find out.

05. Will insurance cover the medication?

Aside from weight loss, semaglutide has been shown to reduce major cardiovascular events and improve heart failure symptoms. Weight loss improves sense of well-being, improves exercise function, reduces the conversion of prediabetes to type 2 diabetes, reduces blood pressure, reduces osteoarthritis-related knee pain, and improves obesity-related liver disease.

06. What other benefits do the medications have?

The ongoing cost depends on the medication and your maintenance dose.

05. How much does it cost to continue the medication after the program is over?
