The Heart Behind The Business, Kasandra Wheeler, FNP
Hello—I'm Kasandra, a Family Nurse Practitioner and owner and founder of Liv Med Spa. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at South Dakota State University and earned my Master of Science in Nursing at Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska.
My nursing background includes 7 years as a critical care nurse and 5 years in Hematology & Oncology as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Through those experiences, I witnessed profound trials and learned something fundamental: life is short. That's why I'm passionate about empowering people to invest in themselves—to look and feel their best so they can show up fully for the people they love.
I'm married to my husband Kyle, my biggest supporter, and we have four beautiful children, Livia, Bode, Madden, & Jack. I named my aesthetics practice after my daughter, Liv, because my children and family are my entire world.
Our medical aesthetics practice is special because we prioritize building long-term patient relationships and individualizing treatment plans to each person. We are authentic and truthful with recommendations and genuinely want the best for every single person. My clinical background taught me to lead with kindness and compassion, because you never know what trials somebody is going through. Every patient matters, and we want them to feel understood, supported, and confident in their own skin.
Outside of work, you'll find me chasing my kids and two doodles, cooking, running, traveling, and drinking coffee. I love holidays, especially Christmas!

MEET THE LIV TEAM
Hi! I’m Melissa Lehr, a Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of healthcare experience. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from South Dakota State University and my Master of Science in Nursing degree from Mount Marty University, I’ve had the opportunity to work in ER, ICU, specialty medicine, and functional medicine. Those experiences shaped my passion for helping patients feel confident, healthy, and empowered at every stage of life.
Today, I specialize in hormone optimization, medical weight loss, laser hair removal, tattoo removal, neuromodulators, and dermal fillers. I enjoy partnering with patients to create treatment plans that fit their individual goals and lifestyle. Whether you’re looking to restore confidence, improve your wellness, or simply invest in yourself, my goal is to provide honest recommendations and natural-looking results tailored specifically to you.
Outside of work, my greatest joy is spending time with my husband and our three children. I also love camping, reading, and running. I can’t wait to partner with you on your journey to feeling healthy, confident, and the very best version of yourself.
Melissa Lehr
FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER
Rachel hails from the charming little town of Ethan, SD! She recently got engaged to Jett and will be getting married in 2027! After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from USD, she made the exciting move to Rapid City, SD. She worked as a med-surg nurse for 2 years before she kicked off her aesthetic nursing career in 2022.
Over the past four years, she has developed into an advanced injector and created a diverse skillset to help patients achieve incredible, natural results. When she's not working, Rachel loves to hang out with family and friends, stay active, explore new places, and catch a good sports game. She also has a sweet mini golden doodle named Jack!

REGISTERED NURSE FROM ETHAN, SD
Ali earned her nursing degree from the University of South Dakota. With over 14 years of nursing experience, primarily in surgical settings, she developed a strong foundation in precision, safety, and patient-centered care.
On weekends, you’ll often find her exploring the city with her husband and 6-year-old daughter, tasting the best bites downtown and soaking up everything this gorgeous city has to offer.
Her passion for skin health and aesthetics led her to pursue a career in medical aesthetics, where she loves helping patients feel confident and refreshed. “I believe in enhancing natural beauty through personalized care, with the goal of helping every patient feel comfortable, confident, and like the best version of themselves.”
Ali Freitag
REGISTERED NURSE FROM YANKTON, SD
Originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Caitlyn earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northern State University in Aberdeen before continuing her education and earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Sioux Falls.
She began her nursing career in the operating room, where she spent three years before transitioning to clinic nursing. It was there that she discovered her passion for connecting with patients and providing personalized care. Caitlyn is excited to combine her nursing background with her love for wellness and aesthetics to help each patient feel confident and cared for.
Outside of work, Caitlyn enjoys spending time with her husband, her high school sweetheart, and their three young children. Together, they love traveling, sightseeing, making memories, and staying busy with their kids' activities.

Hi, I'm Izzy! I became a licensed esthetician in 2022 and hold certifications in Face Reality Acne and Gut Health. I believe the best results come from a holistic approach that combines professional skincare & treatments and internal wellness!
When I'm not in the treatment room, you'll find me shopping, spending time with my husband, studying the bible, enjoying a large cappuccino, organizing something, or traveling. My goal is to make every appointment feel intentional, refreshing, and results-driven. After working independently for the past year and a half, I'm excited to join the team at Liv Med Spa & continue serving my clients with advanced education and care!
Izzy De La Cruz
AESTHETICIAN FROM WHEATON, MN
Allison grew up in the small town of Burke, SD, just west of the Missouri River. After high school she attended South Dakota State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in graphic design and ran track all four years. She’s now engaged to Ethan, and the two will say “I do” this August!
Allison is our friendly face behind the scenes, keeping the office running smoothly as our office coordinator and social media manager, while also helping patients look and feel their best through our skincare line and permanent jewelry services.
Outside of work, Allison loves spending quality time with Ethan, being with her family, hanging out with friends, and sweating it out at BWELL. Her favorite class is either Hot Strong or Sculpt!
